Fine Arts Work Center Provincetown: 7-Month Fellowship for Emerging Artists

The Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC) in Provincetown, Massachusetts offers one of the longest and most comprehensive fellowship programs in North America, providing seven months of dedicated creative time for emerging visual artists and writers.

What FAWC Offers

• $1,250 monthly stipend
• $1,000 exit stipend at program completion
• Private apartment
• Studio space (for visual artists)
• Total financial support: Nearly $10,000 over 7 months

Residency Period

October 1 through April 30 (7 months)

Disciplines Accepted

Each year, FAWC selects 20 Fellows:

• 10 Visual Artists working in any medium
• 10 Writers (fiction, poetry)

Special Fellowships

Rona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship
